How FROM JAPAN Works — 4 Steps
Using FROM JAPAN involves two payments and four stages:
Order Placement — Charge 1
Arrival at Warehouse
Shipping Instruction — Charge 2
International Shipping & Delivery
1. Order Placement — Charge 1
When you place an order, you pay Charge 1.
Charge 1 includes:
Item price
Service fee
Domestic shipping fee (if charged by the seller)
After Charge 1 is completed:
We immediately purchase the item from the Japanese seller on your behalf.
Cancellation Policy
Because payment to the seller is processed promptly:
After Charge 1 is paid, cancellation is generally not accepted.
In rare cases, cancellation may be reviewed depending on the transaction status and seller approval. Additional fees may apply.

2. Arrival at FROM JAPAN Warehouse
After purchase, the seller ships the item to our warehouse in Japan.
When it arrives:
Receipt is confirmed
A standard inspection is performed
The package is weighed and measured
Shipping instructions become available in your account
What Our Standard Inspection Includes
✅ Confirmation that the item has arrived
✅ Visual check of the outer condition
✅ Identification of obvious external damage
What Our Standard Inspection Does NOT Include
❌ Checking all contents or accessories
❌ Functional testing (e.g., powering on electronics)
❌ Authenticity verification
❌ Detailed comparison with seller listing photos
FROM JAPAN is a proxy purchasing service.
We act on your behalf to purchase items from Japanese sellers.
We do not act as an authenticator or repair provider.
Optional paid services such as Additional Photos may be requested after warehouse arrival.
3. Shipping Instruction — Charge 2
After warehouse arrival, you prepare your order for international shipping.
Before paying Charge 2, you will:
Select items to ship (consolidation available)
Select destination address
Choose shipping method
Charge 2 is then calculated.
The final shipping cost cannot be confirmed before warehouse arrival.
Charge 2 includes:
International shipping fee (actual cost)
Handling Fee (500 yen per item)
If multiple units of the same item are paid together in a single order, the handling fee will be the same as for one item.
Domestic shipping fee within Japan (if not included in Charge 1)
Japanese consumption tax (if applicable)
Additional carrier-related fees (if applicable), such as oversized package handling fees
Charge 2 is calculated after warehouse arrival because the final package size and weight must be confirmed.
4. International Shipping & Delivery
Once Charge 2 is paid:
Items are packed
The shipment is dispatched
Dispatch typically occurs within 2 business days
Delivery time depends on:
Shipping method
Destination country
Customs procedures
Tracking information will be provided after dispatch.
Before You Place Your First Order
Please confirm:
✅ You understand there are two payments (Charge 1 and Charge 2)
✅ Charge 1 cannot usually be canceled once paid
✅ International shipping cost is confirmed after warehouse arrival
✅ Import duties may be charged by your country
✅ Our inspection is limited to the external condition only
