What Is FROM JAPAN’s definition of a “Used Item”?
Last Updated:
We classify an item as "used" if any of the following conditions apply:
- It has been previously owned or used by an individual and so is not brand new.
- Even if the item is new and unopened, it is considered used if it was not purchased directly from the manufacturer or an authorized retailer/agent, but instead changed hands through a third party.
As a result, even if a product is listed as “new/unopened” on sites like Mercari, Rakuma, JDirectItems Flea Market, or JDirectItems Auction, we will handle it as a used item.
When an item arrives at our facility, we inspect it based on the description and images on the product page to check for discrepancies or major damage. However, please note that the following conditions are not covered under our Purchasing Plan for used items:
- Dirt, stains, dents, fraying, scratches, discoloration, breakage, or chips
